Hello today I'm going to share to you how to repair a Samsung Galaxy Y that keeps on rebooting after you turn it on.  It is usually a system or firmware problem.

What you will learn today is how to flash the firmware to your Samsung Galaxy Y and tools needed to accomplish it.

Tools:
USB Cable
Samsung Kies (drivers)
Odin Samsung Rom Flasher
Samsung Galaxy Y firmware

Step 1.

Download and install Samsung drivers (Kies).  Also you'll have to download the Odin flasher and the firmware for your Samsung Galaxy which will you will use later.

How to install the Samsung driver properly

I want to make a sub topic here because I'm sure some will have a hard time to reprogram their Samsung if they have not properly installed the driver.   Like me, it took me awhile to figure out why I can't carry on flashing the cellphone because I can't install the driver properly.   Note:  Not until you install the driver properly everything else will fail.

Here's what you will have to do.  Install Samsung Kies as the driver comes with it when you install it.  Next turn off your cellphone and connect it your computer.  I'm using windows 7, so the computer will install the driver for me.  Then connect the phone to the computer in download mode.  To do this, disconnect your cellphone and press menu + volume down + power on  an instructions will appear in the screen of you cellphone.  Press volume up once and your mobile is now in download mode.  Connect it to your computer and your computer will install the driver for you.  To verify that you have installed the drivers correctly, in your computer device manager check if there's any question mark or exclamation mark in the list of drivers if there's none then you are good to go.

Step 2.

After you have installed the drivers correctly, now we are ready to flash the firmware to your Samsung Galaxy Y.

Run Odin flasher and follow the settings in the picture below.  You should see that your cellphone is detected by Odin.  ID:COM will have a color yellow meaning your cellphone is ready for  programming.  Click start and wait for Odin to do the flashing for you.

Wait for the software to flash the firmware and see the word "PASS!".  It means that you're done with flashing.  The mobile will reboot automatically and this time you will see the welcome logo and you can now continue the initial setup of your Samsung Galaxy Y.

I hope you have learned from this free tutorial.  Have a great day ahead everyone! :)
