Hello again.  Today I'm going to show you how to repair a full grounded board of a Samsung S5360.  This can be done by simply replacing the culprit electronic component or simply removing it.

In repairing grounded phones most problem you will encounter is full grounded.  These problems occur when the smartphone was unintentionally dropped to a sink.  These water damage problem may produce corrosion and rust that may caused electronic components to short.

Upon observation of this cellphone after the disassemble procedure.  I noticed that there were parts that has corrosion and rust are building up.  I quickly clean the board with my cleaning solution and dried it with my hot air.  Cleaning the board was not enough so in this case I need to proceed to troubleshooting.

To repair this kind of problem one must have a schematic diagram.  Download the diagram for S5360 here.
Now open the schematic diagram using PDF reader.  Go and find every component that could possibly grounded the Vbat+ of the cellphone to the ground.

In my case C446 was the problem.  I removed it using hot air and test again the board for any grounded parts.  Luckily the grounded was gone.  I assemble the phone and power it on.  Wow! It is back to life again.

I hope you learned here basic troubleshooting of grounded phones.

Cheers everyone!
