How I Got Started In My Cellphone Repair Business?

Still thinking if you are going to start your cellphone repair business from your home?  Today I'm going to share to you how I decided to be my own boss and make money from the comfort of my home.

Here's the basic setup for my repair shop

First of all I want to tell you that there's no easy business.  You will have to invest your time and effort if you want to stay long in this industry and provide for your family in the long run.

This started when I was a computer teacher.   I used to teach basic electronics, math and computer repair when I stumble upon this lucrative business.  I was still single during that time and I was in charge to pay for my family house rent and sometimes electrical bill.  It was hard when your family was depending on you but it was fulfilling because they were there when you needed them and now it's time for me to payback.  But don't think that they force me.  I want to help them in my own little way and I volunteer myself to do it.

My routine was home, work and church.  I'm an active charismatic member in our church and so after work I will go straight to our church for practice or service.  I was happy in my routine, but there comes a time that  my salary was really not enough for us.

Our school started to offer a cellphone repair course and I was the one in charged to do the training.   Little by little our school staff and my friends ask me to repair their cellphone.  Until one day I found out that my extra job was earning more than my salary.

That was the time I started putting a small table in front of our house accepting cellphone repair service from our neighbors.  Later on, my fiancee and I decided to rent a small commercial space near our church.  To think that I could earn more.   I work at school during day time and work at my shop after my class.

I will admit to you that I was not that really good in repairing mobile phone during those days.  I have to stay late to learn how to replaced or removed IC and repair some important electronic component inside the cellphone.

Another thing that inspire me to start my own business was this boy from another computer school.  He was just 3rd year college and was only to finish his course.  After my class, I will go to a nearby mall.  I will see him repairing cellphones and making lots of money for only 4 hrs after his school.  It inspires me.  He would make much money more than my salary for a month, I think I could do that as well.

Finally I decided to leave my school as an Instructor and concentrate on my cellphone repair shop.
